RG Correl Days

"Quantum Calculations in Solution for Large to Very Large Molecules : A New Linear Scaling QM/Continuum Approach Filippo Lipparini, Louis Lagardère, Giovanni Scalmani, Benjamin Stamm, Eric Cancès, Yvon Maday, Jean-Philip Piquemal, Michael J. Frisch, and Benedetta Mennucci The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters 2014 5 (6), 953-958"

From 9 to 11 January 2017, we hosted three days which were organised in the context of RG CORREL on the "mathematics and quantum chemistry" theme ; they were presented in the form of short courses in which both speakers
- Eric Cancès (CERMICS), on the topic of operators theory
- Trygve Helgaker (Oslo), on the topic of convex analysis (for DFT)
were able to explain in detail, to an audience of mathematical and chemistry researchers, the mathematics needed for accurate understanding of quantum chemistry theories and models.

Additional information is available on the website

We also hosted on 12 January 2017 a workshop of young researchers on
mathematical methods used in quantum chemistry, organised by
PhD students Athmane Bakhta (CERMICS) and Geneviève Dusson (LJLL).
After an educational presentation by Julien Toulouse (LCT), who gave a great
number of methods used in quantum chemistry, several PhD students,
post-docs and young lecturers from different places (Paris,
Aachen, Oslo) presented their research.
